Chimera’s Tehya

What an exciting day when our first cria was born at Chimera Ranch!  We named her Chimera’s Tehya, which means precious, as she is very precious to us. 

Tehya’s dam, Xanadu Evensong, is a beautiful true black with dense bright fleece filled with crimp. Her sire, MFI Toledo, is a dark silver gray with excellent confirmation and exceptional crimp.   

We are still determining whether Tehya will be true black like her mother, or a dark gray, as she has the gray cast when running and playing in the bright sunlight.  Either way we are very excited to have her join our herd and carry on the dark genetics.

Chimera’s Orion Grey

Our prayers were answered when Orion Grey made his way into this world on Nov 5, 2009.   Orion Grey is a beautiful medium rose grey male, who loves nothing more than to kick up his heels and run with his buddies at Sand Creek Criations.  For Orion Grey, everyday is a wonderful day.

Orion Grey’s dam is Xanadu Chiaroscuro a beautiful rose grey lady whose fleece is exceptionally fine and bright throughout her blanket.   Orion Grey’s sire, MFI Toledo, is a dark silver grey with excellent confirmation and exceptional crimp. 

Even at this very young age, Orion Grey ‘stands out in the crowd’ and we are very excited to introduce him into the show ring in the fall of 2010.
